This is my grand-daughter Angelique. For the past 4 years on her birthday her and I go to Build A Bear as one of her gifts. This year she made a Hello Kitty. She really looks forward to doing this with me. I like it because it's our special thing we do. This year she also got a small rolling cart with my Baby Bug and some supplies to get her started in scrapbooking. She has already done a bit of scrapbooking and I think that she is ready for the Cricut. Woo hoo

A Gift For My Friend Somphong

Hi Everyone,
I made this mini album today for my friend who is a Monk. He and I became good friends when I had gone to Meditation classes at the Temple. That summer my grand-kids went to summer camp there and they loved it. They learned all about the Thai culture and had a great time. Well since then Somphong and I became close friends. Just kidding around he calls me Mom. I really could be his mom. Oh well I made this for him and I hope he enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it for him.

Hi everyone,
Here is what I put inside the box that I made for the lady who gives me the cigar boxes. The box is in one of the post below. I wanted to keep everything vintage looking. I had given her a tile before and she loved it so I made her another one. I used Staz-On ink on the tile and put little rubber feet on it so as not to scratch the furniture or counters. I made her 5 note cards which are really simple but I thought she would like them. She called me last night and she said she was stunned by what I have done with the boxes. I told her that I really appreciate her giving them to me. She is really funny, she said that she was hoarding a few boxes that were a little different and that after she saw what I do with them she decided that she needed to give them to me. Woo Hoo, am I lucky or what? Well I hope you all get inspired to try this yourself. Have a great day!!!

Hi everyone, here is a little cigar box that I wanted to do something different and I came up with a photo box. I made small index cards that you can place a picture on both sides. I put little tabs so I could write the name of the people in the photo. I think it came out pretty nice. What do you think?

Hi Everyone,
I hope all of you are doing great, I just wanted to give you all an update. Well i have not been able to post anything for a while now because I am having issues with my Picasa program and a couple of my other Picture programs. On Picasa ther is a button that says Blog This and every time I try to use it now it pops up a screen that says I have to be connected to the Internet to be able to use this feature. Well guess what I am connected to the internet. I am so frusterated that all I want to do is scream. The fact that it is doing the same thing with other programs leads me to believe that it is some setting on my laptop that is stopping it from working but I have checked everything that I know and still nothing. If anyone our there in Blog Land can help me I would so appreciate it.
Any how this is why I have not posted anything lately. I hope I can this restored soon. I really can't afford to have a tech guy come out and fix it cause you know how that goes. $$$$$$$$ Well hope to have some good news soon.

Hi everyone, I have not updated my blog for awhile now cause I have been working alot which is a good thing but when I get home I'm too tired to do much. So today I decided to blog some things I've done. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

This little box I bought at Michael's for $1.00 and some change. I just thought it was cute so this is what I made using some buttons, paper and ribbon. I painted the box with acrylic lavender paint and then brushed some pearl on top of that. Hope you all like it. Comments are always welcomed.

Yesterday I was blog hopping and ended up on Gina K's Stamp TV. I found a butterfly card she made and how she made it. Well I love butterflies and just had to try this technique. In this technique you use bleach to get the the light color in the butterfly. Wow this is really awesome. Well my DH brought me a bag full of cigar boxes and asked do you want these? I looked at him and said, Do bears poop in the woods? What kind of a question was that??? Of course I want them. My mind started racing with the possibilities of what I could do. Well is the first one I made. This one is real simple with just enough bling. What do you think?

The paper I used is from DCWV and it's called Mariposa. I love this paper and I've used several times. The butterfly I bought at Michael's. The minute I saw it I knew exactly what I was going to use it for.

Storage For Cricut Accsesories

Hi everyone,
I bought this storage bin at Target and I know that Joann's also have them. They are great because you can get them in different sizes and colors and they snap together.

I put the booklets in the top one in alphabetical order. In the second one I keep a booklet with a sheet for each cartridge with the images that are in that cartridge.

In the third one I keep the Cricut manuel the markers, extra blades, deep cut housing and blades and any other things pertaining to the Cricut. I hope this helps. It works for me maybe it will for you also.

Hi Everyone,
Here is how I store my cartridges. I don't alphabitize them I just number them in numerical order as I buy them. I do alphabitize the booklets and on the front cover on one of the corners I put the number of the corresponding cartridge. This way I know when I pick a booklet I want to use I know the number of the cartridge.

I decided to make it an ablum for my mom for her birthday which is next month. The shorter lady that you see in the pictures is my mom and the other lady was my aunt Edna her sister who passed away last Nov.2 from alzheimers.

On August 20th it was my grand-daughter Angelique's birthday. This is the third year that her and I alone go to Build A Bear Workshop and get her a new Bear or other animal and get some outfits and such. This year she picked Hello Kitty as you can see from the picture. We always have a great time together picking out cloths and stuff. Below is the card I made her. I hope you are all having a great weekend. Last night the Stampin Up Club I belong to got together and we had some wine and cake while we made this card. As usual we had a great time and laughed alot. One the girls brought some Chocolate Wine you heard right Chocolate Wine. She got it at Publix Supermarket. Oh my gosh it was so good. I've never had a Mud Slide drink but they all said that it kinda tasted like it. If you like wine you gotta try it. At first I thought YUK CHOCOLATE WINE?? Well we decided that it was going to be our club drink. LOL Needless to say we had alot of fun. Anyways this is the card we made. I think it's really pretty. Our demonstrator Dena is awesome!!!! New Class At Michael's

Jury Duty

Well I had Jury Duty yesterday, so guess what I took with me. I took my Gypsy!!!! I also took 3 Scrapbooking magazines. I'm so glad I did it made the time there much better. I did get picked but they settled out of court so that was it. They let us go about 1 hour after we got back from lunch. At least I don't have to worry about it for another year. I did my civil duty. Well I just wanted to tell you all that own the Cricut by Provo Craft that I discovered that at Toy's R Us online you can order the deep cut blade and housing for $9.99 YES you are seeing right I said $9.99. At Michael's and Joann's they are $29.99 so I ordered the housing and blade plus I ordered a package of extra blades for only $7.98. My total came out with shipping and tax to $28.97 which is less then what Michael's and Joann's sell the housing and blade alone. So with this I say if you need these this is were to order them. Thinking Of You Dog Cards

I was commissioned by my groomer to make some cards for her to give to her clients for times when maybe their pet is ill or other terrible situations. I made then in different color combinations for a little variation. I used the Paper Pups cartridge. The last card was for the groomer herself giving her thanks for her business. I embossed the cards but it is hard to see it in the picture.

Exciting News

Well I know it's been awhile since I have posted anything but I have been so busy lately. I now have 3 jobs yes you heard right I have 3 jobs. I work at a hospital nearby and I do the newborn baby pictures. Two weeks ago I was hired by another company to do the newborn hearing screen test. I just started training for the second job. And yesterday I was hired by Michael's to teach an SDU Scrapbooking Class. So yes I will be working 7 days a week with maybe every other Sunday off.

I know I must be crazy but I think I can handle it. Teaching at Michael's will be my mental therapy (lol). My classes will be in Homestead Florida so if any of you live in the area and would like to take a class please email me and let me know. So wish me luck in my new endeavors. Did I spell that right???

Ok ok, I know it's been a long time since I have done anything on my Blog, but alot has been happening in my life which has had my undivided attention. I am going to try to make up for it.
Anyways, I had a play date with my friend Phyllis, yes you heard right I did say a play date. She lives about 45 minutes from me and we don't get together often but we did make a play date and she came over to my house to play...

Sympathy Cards for Dogs

I was asked by the groomer I used for my 2 Yorkies Mica & Cami if I could make her some Sympathy cards that she could give to her customers who lose their best friends. I said sure and she placed and order for 25 of them. We decided to make 2 different styles. I put Thinking of You instead of the word Sympathy, I just liked it better. The poem inside is really beautiful and when I first read it I started crying. Since I made these I lost a rescue dog of mine who's name was Benji. Hard to believe I was making these cards for someone else and here I was going through the same thing myself. The second card I made I got the design style from one of the Blogs I visit called Cardz TV. She is a dog lover herself and had some really cute cards on her blog. You should check her out. The cartridge I used was Paper Pups by Provo Craft for the Cricuit.

The Pink Stamper had a Sunday Challenge for a card to be made to give to someone. I made this card for a lady who's little dog is dying. I also found a poem about getting ready to lose your dog and I put it on a seperate piece of cardstock and embellished it so she could keep it out if she wanted. I made it using the Paper Pups cartridge.

Hope you all are having a great day. I got this idea from Robyn (My Pink Stamper). I made these for my grand-kids for Valentine's Day. I am going to fill them up with candy and make each one of them a card. My grand-daughter Angelique likes Princesses so I made one with a princess theme. On the sides I put castles. My grandson Aiden likes dinosaures so his has a caveman and dinosaures on the sides. My grandson Jordan just started in Little Leagues Baseball so of course his has a baseball theme. His team is called the NY Mets. I got the mailboxes at Target like Robyn said and they were just a dollar. I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridges by Provo Craft for the Cricut. I adhered the paper dolls on with demensionals. I think they came out really cute. Don't you? You can pull out the tags and stamp or write a sentiment on the back side of it. Then you can write a romantic or just a sweet note inside. I also made matching envelopes for them. While in the hospital a Nursing Assistant named Jesula was so kind to me that I spoke to her supervisor and told her what a great young woman she is. Before I left the hospital I got her address so I could make a special card for her. And here it is.

Sorry it took so long to post anything but I was in the hospital for four days and it has taken me a while to get back into the swing of things. I hope all of you have been great. This card I made for the friend who's house we stayed at when we went to Ohio. The scalloped circle is on a foam square to make it stand out. The black on the paper is flocked. Just so happened that I had a brad that looked just like one of the flowers on the paper.

My husband Bruce and I left last Thursday for his 40th Class Reunion. Wow that's a long time. Well the flight over was awful, we had air turbulance so many times that I thought I would lose it. The pilot would go up and down and up and down well you get the point right? I decided to bring my DVD player and a couple of movies well I decided that my choice of movies was not very good, why you ask? Because I took BLACK HAWK DOWN, yes a war movie where a couple of Black Hawk helicopters went down. Now you get it??? Not a good choice!!
Anyways the reunion was great and it was wild having women come up to me and tell me what a crush they had on my husband way back when. I don't blame them I too think his is cute although he now has no hair! He was a football player in high school and also played semi pro ball later on. Well it rained almost the entire time we were there, it stunk since I live in Miami Florida where it had been raining every day. We stayed at a friends house were we went out to her front yard and you could deer grazing. That was really cool. We saw them almost everytime we left the house.
While there we visted family and had dinner with them. It was alot of fun seeing them since it had three years since we last saw them. We were there for six days andc of course I found a Michael's store so guess what I did? I went shoooopping!!!! I had heard on some blogs about Hobby Lobby but never had been to one nor did I know where they were. Well guess what? I founnnnnnnd one down the road from where I was. So guess what I did. Give up? Yes I went shooooooooping!!!!! Wow what a cool store. Well I won't bore you anymore and now you can look at a few pics. Have a wonderful day!!

This card is a little more sophisticated then the other ones I've done. I really like how this one turned out. The basckground paper is Coordination's. I embossed it with a Snowflake Sizzix folder and then I sanded the embossed area. The reindeer paper is DCWV glitter cardstock. This is a A2 size card.

I really like this card. I got this idea from Happy Happy Joy Joy from Christmas With The Cricut website. She said on the video that she got this card from someone else also. I like it because it can stand on it's own and be displayed. I used different cardstock but the same basic design.

This is a Thank You card that I made for a Teacher and a Monk from Thailand. They were at the Thai Temple where my grand-kids went for summer camp. It was great because they got to learn about the Thai culture. They loved it there. The flower that you see by itself is really on a vellum envelope but it does not show in the picture. Sorry.

I made this last night at my Stampin Up Meeting. We had lots of fun making this one. We each personalized them in our own way. These are great for your kids or grand-kids for school. When you pull the ribbon the bag of popcorn comes up. You can change it to suit different holidays like Valentines or Christmas and such. Let your imagination run away with itself.

Teacher Gift Tags

I made these for my grand-kids. Before school starts the teachers put out a list of what the students need to bring and the teachers wish list, which consist of the things the teacher would like for the class. So my daughter made a basket for the 2 teachers and she asked me to make a card or something for the basket. So this is what I came up with.

This is a big tag which measures 7 inches (at the widest point) by 4 1/2 inches.
The two apples are on foam squares, this way they look cute sticking up.
